The first week of the SUNY CPD’s OTTER Institute (Online Teaching: Technology and Educational Resources) is now complete. Taking place June 7th – 11th, OTTER had 288 registrants representing 44 SUNY Campuses. There were also a few Non-SUNY participants as well. 

This part of the OTTER Institute focused on Course Development and Design Tools and Strategies. The SUNY CPD OTTER Institute is an opportunity for online practitioners to learn more about the innovations, trends, and challenges with online education; see examples of best practices and learn about tools to create and deliver effective and engaging online course content; strengthen your understanding of accessibility and equity issues and see how to build courses with both in mind as you develop and deliver a truly inclusive course.

The second part of the OTTER Institute will take place August 9-14, 2021 and will focus on Course Delivery.  OTTER is Free and Open to all SUNY Campus Members.  Join the SUNY CPD listserv to be notified when registration opens – ask to join at cpdinfo@suny.edu.

Due to the large response to our SUNY staff only classes in Administering System Center Configuration Manager, we have worked with our vendors to offer staff members the opportunity to join a public facing class at a discounted price. These five-day,online live virtual classes are provided through a 3rd party vendor. Best Colleges has released their second annual report on
online student demographics- surveying 1,300 students. The participants in this report represent three enrollment categories: current online students, prospective online students, and graduates of online programs.

We are pleased to offer special SUNY pricing for an online live virtual class through a 3rd party vendor on Microsoft Intune. The course will utilize a pre-provisioned lab environment which includes Microsoft 365 E5 licenses and Enterprise Mobility and Security E5 licenses for each student. PowerShell management topics will be discussed where applicable in the respective topics. This course will address Windows devices only enrolled in Intune.
